Established in 2004 as a sole proprietorship, the business evolved into Ambalay Raey Trade & Industry PLC in 2010, marking the beginning of a new phase of structured growth and development. Today, Ambalay is an Ethiopian company operating across beauty, personal care, hygiene, consumer products, professional beauty solutions, local manufacturing, and international trade. Our long-standing partnerships with Evyap, Türkiye, and Ceriotti, Italy, connect us with internationally recognized brands, expertise, and solutions.

2004
The Beginning
The business was established as a sole proprietorship, laying the foundation for our activities in trading and consumer products.
2010
Partnership with EVYAP
Ambalay began its partnership with Evyap, Türkiye, introducing the internationally recognized Duru brand to the Ethiopian market.
2012
Expanding into Export
Ambalay expanded its activities into export, extending its commercial reach beyond the Ethiopian domestic market.
2019
Expanding Local Opportunities
Ambalay increased its focus on local investment and business opportunities, strengthening the foundation for future expansion and local value creation.
2025
DURU Goes Local
Ambalay commenced the local manufacturing of Duru bathing soap in Ethiopia, marking an important transition toward local manufacturing and value creation.

Through this partnership, we import and distribute Duru products in Ethiopia and have expanded into the local manufacturing of Duru bathing soap.
