An idea that became
a reality.
The idea of local production began in 2019, driven by an opportunity to build a stronger and more sustainable manufacturing presence in Ethiopia.
Changing market conditions, the advantages of local production, foreign currency considerations, and the opportunity to reduce manufacturing costs all strengthened the case for investing locally.
After studying the feasibility of local production, Ambalay moved forward with the initiative, turning an ambitious idea into a tangible manufacturing operation.

DURU Natural Olive Soap
DURU Natural Olive Soap brings together the familiar quality of a trusted brand with Ambalay’s growing manufacturing capabilities in Ethiopia. Produced at our local manufacturing facility under license from EVYAP International, the soap is made with olive oil and designed for everyday personal care.
With DURU already recognized and enjoyed by consumers, local production allows us to bring the product closer to the people who know and trust it while continuing to focus on consistent quality and reliable supply. Available in two convenient sizes, DURU Natural Olive Soap is made to fit the everyday needs of Ethiopian households while carrying forward the quality associated with the DURU name.
